Private Label Gift Programs

Label Gift Programs are rapidly replacing paper gift
certificates. One of the primary reasons is cash-flow.
Paper gift certificates require cash to be given back
to the consumer if the full value of the certificate
is not used up in the first transaction. Our card program
can keep that cash in the Merchant's register by electronically
"debiting" the amount of the transaction from
the value of the card, storing the value of the unused
portion on our computers for the NEXT VISIT!
There is no reason for the merchant to preprint denominations
of cards because each merchant is provided a POS (Point
of Sale) terminal that can program the denomination
of each card individually.

program is designed to capture information at the point-of-sale
(POS) by swiping a magnetic card through a terminal
reader. Points are awarded based on customer spending,
and in store prizes are randomly won. If a merchant
chooses they can have their customers redeem prizes
by going to our Redemption Center on this website. (additional
cost) Points and cash prizes are "loaded"
directly onto a customer's card for purchasing future
products and services.

Value Or Prepaid "Debit" Card
Stored
Value cards contain a prepaid dollar amount that can
be used to purchase products or services. In addition
to cash, the card can allow for other items of value,
such as points. Typically looks like a credit card and
is used like a credit card, but is actually tied to
an account that decreases a balance when used.
Application
The
card is "loaded" with a prepaid dollar amount
or point value, against which purchases are deducted
(debited), until the value becomes zero. When the value
reaches zero, the card is either discarded or can be
recharged with additional dollars/points.
Cards usually have an encoded magnetic stripe with a
unique serial number and/or PIN number. In some systems,
a bar code can provide the same function as the magnetic
stripe. When the card is swiped (mag stripe) or scanned
(bar code) at the point of sale, a centralized database
is accessed. This database stores the unique serial
number and the associated dollar/point value for the
particular card. Once the transaction is complete, the
transaction amount is communicated to the database and
the account is debited; the new balance is now stored
in the central database. The entire transaction is completed
electronically in seconds using existing POS equipment.
Points earned, credit for returned merchandise or reloading
of cards works the same way, except dollars/points are
credited to the account within the database.
